It will be treason If we are talking about finance lessons from comic characters and forget to talk about the Black Panther.

What to learn from him? Succession planning, real estate planning.

After his father’s death, t’chaka, some significant problems came as the succession was in jeopardy. I am not against the rituals. They are part of religion, and I respect all religions. But after all the rituals, we must take care of succession planning. Make a will. Register it. You can always change it, but it is not right to die without succession planning.

Will your funeral be a celebration of a life well-lived or a refereed match among your children and other family members as they fight for the jackpot inheritance? Even worse, as your casket descends into the earth or your ashes are scattered across the river, will your children think of you or rapper Cardi B — with a “Drop top Porsche and Rollie” on their wrists?

I believe that this is something we MUST learn from Wakanda. One other Must thing to remember from Wakanda is the utilization of Technology. In today’s world, we can’t ignore Technology. Here I want to mention Lex Luthor. He is also known for Technology and his suit. Lex Luthor is a DC Villain, Lex Corp. Black Panther owner, Is a Marvel Hero, and King of Wakanda. Two completely different sides. One more point is, that the sources of wealth in the case of Lex Luthor are not sure, as being a villain and with speed, he earned it, makes it questionable. Whereas being a king, everyone knows how he is earning his wealth. Lex is the single owner of wealth. In comparison, T’challa makes it available to all people. In Avengers Endgame and Avengers Infinity War, we can see that he even opens his kingdom for Avengers.

King T’Chaka failed to mention one crucial detail to T’Challa before his death — King T’Chaka had killed his brother and radicalized spy, Prince N’Jobu, and left N’Jobu’s son, Killmonger, in exile. Such things can affect your finances even after your death. I saw one example, and I can tell you to tell your family about it.

The biggest thing this movie will teach you is to keep upgrading. Even if something is working and looking good, don’t stop there. There is always space to make it better. Be it Technology or your choice in finance. Sometimes you may find another banking option that may give you a better interest. Sometimes a Liquid mutual fund may look better than a bank account, or if you are in India, Some payments bank may give you a better interest. Some banks may have better Technology. Keep Upgrading. Things work does not mean they are good.

A man who has not prepared his children for his death has failed as a father.

Preparing the next generation for leadership includes guidance on managing resources and wealth. This lesson is supposed to be gender-neutral.

I learned from the movie that Wakanda is not only the fictional country in comics, but it is the ideology of being a global citizen, understanding that we are part of the world, and sharing our knowledge with those who are ready to get it.

Wakanda Forever…
